Key Responsibility

1. Personal Care:
   • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as required.
2. Medication Management:
   • Administer medications based on prescribed schedules and maintain accurate medication records.
3. Meal Preparation:
   • Prepare and serve meals that align with dietary needs and preferences.
4. Companionship:
   • Offer emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and provide companionship.
5. Mobility Assistance:
   • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and prescribed physical exercises.
6. Light Housekeeping:
   • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organization.
7. Safety:
   • Ensure a safe environment, incorporating fall prevention measures and readiness for emergency responses.
8. Documentation:
   • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of provided care and note changes in the client’s condition.
9. Communication:
   • Report significant changes or concerns promptly to the care coordinator or healthcare professionals.
10. Client Respect:
    • Uphold the dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences of each client.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Home Support Worker training program or certified nursing assistant (CNA) program.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience, and compassion.
• Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if required).
